Hey, I’m Cam.
I’m passionate about helping volleyball athletes become stronger, faster, and play with more confidence. I specialize in vertical jump development, speed and agility, and building athleticism — all key components of explosive, on-court performance.
My introduction to strength and conditioning started early. From age 12 to 18, I trained weekly at McMaster University under some of the top S&C coaches in Canada. That experience shaped not only how I trained, but how I now coach. It sparked a deep interest in athletic development and led me to pursue a degree in Kinesiology, where I dove deeper into maximizing performance.
I went on to play varsity volleyball at the University of Waterloo as a left side and libero. Despite being the shortest left side, I posted the highest relative vertical jump, and that didn’t happen by accident. It was the result of years of focused strength and jump training.
During my varsity career, I suffered an injury that led me to shift into sprinting, competing on the University of Waterloo Track & Field Team. That experience gave me an even deeper understanding of speed mechanics and power development — knowledge I now bring into every training program I design.
After graduating, I became a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) through the NSCA and returned to McMaster University to continue growing as a coach. Today, with years of experience as a strength coach, volleyball coach, and former elite athlete, I’ve launched Skyway Performance — a platform built to help volleyball players become more explosive, resilient, and more game-ready than ever before.
I’ve been fortunate to work with great coaches who helped shape the athlete I became. Now, I’m here to pay that forward.
